Alien States
Grounded Movements’ first formal outing in 2013 at Sadlers’ Wells Breakin’ Convention with a piece titled Alien States. It explored the context of groups and cliques using the contrast of forms between Tap, Breaking and Original Jazz as the focus of the physical language

Grounded Development
In 2014 they were awarded Arts Council funding for Grounded Development, a research project working with over 12 exclectic dancers. This work focussed in digging deeper into the key foundations of the different forms, to cultivate a base language that could then be applied as a template for future work and collaborations.

New Collaborations
In 2016, Temujin teamed up with musician Laurence Corns, to begin the process of creating a new musical based on the true life story of a civil rights activist. They went a journey of inspiration to Harlem, New York in 2017 and created a short film. Their journey still continues.

Ragtime to Grime
In 2018 Grounded Movement were awarded new Arts Council funding for Ragtime to Grime. This current new work in development will tell a story, through dance, rap and music, of 4 young peoples transformation against the backdrop of changing society.

Movement Direction
When the opportunity first came up in 2011 to work at the Young Vic on Colin Teevan’s adaptation of Kafka’s Monkey, there was no turning back. Temujin has since worked as Movement Director on Shakespears Titus Andronicus,National Youth Theatre award winning REP company and Cardboard Citizens 2018 play Rising
